Interview Questions You Need To Ask
Just like you can expect Anna to attend Fashion Week, you can expect to be asked the same query around the conclusion of every interview: “Do you have any questions?” You just nailed the first part of the interview (yay, you!), and don’t want to mess it up by asking the wrong thing or nothing at all.
Keep the questions to a minimum. Two to three questions is a safe number to stay around. But, what to do you ask? Here are some of our favorite questions:
- Can you describe a typical day as an intern at your company?
- Do you have advice on how to make the most of this internship?
- What is the time commitment required for the position?
Sometimes the interviewer accomplished the esteemed task of answering all of your prepared question during the interview. Oh, no! If you don’t ask any questions, that’s a big no-no, right? Wrong!
Instead of asking a question you were already given the answer to, respond to his or her question by saying: “You’ve actually answered all of my questions during the interview. Thank you so much.”
If the interviewer starts to bring the conversation to a close, but you have a burning question on the tip of your tongue, you can simply say: “Thank you so much for sitting down with me. Do you mind if I ask you a question I was curious about?”
Remember, it is better to ask nothing at all than asking a question you were already given the answer to.
